Welcome to Claire Calmeyn Personal Training and Nutritional Counseling. Based in New York City, Claire is an independent Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach, specializing in women’s health and fitness, who supports clients towards a healthier, happier, and more balanced life. Maintaining the philosophy that fitness should be fun, and that healthful, nutritious food should taste good, Claire loves working with clients one-on-one or in small groups to make that claim a reality. She is available to work with you as a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, or both, depending on your health goals.

Personal Training

Whether you are new to the gym or have been exercising for many years, Claire addresses many aspects of women’s fitness. Her specialties include strength training, cardiovascular training, weight loss, flexibility, sports specific training, and injury prevention and recovery. She also holds certificates in TRX suspension training, aqua fitness, and pre/post natal exercise.

Nutrition and Cooking

In order to feel your best and to reach your fitness goals, exercise and nutrition must be united. Claire offers private nutrition coaching, as well as health food store/farmer’s market tours, and in-home cooking lessons, which can be done privately or in small groups. Claire is passionate about teaching how to incorporate more whole foods your diet, and most importantly, making them taste delicious!

Holistic Health

Claire brings a holistic approach to your wellness, which means that she looks at how all areas of your life are connected. Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? Does stress at your job or in your home life cause you to overeat? Do family or work obligations leave you too spent to cook a nutritious dinner at home? As you work together, you’ll examine how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
